Fading Forest

Fading Forest is a collection of seven fully on-chain artworks, unfolding as one connected visual sequence.

The project began from a personal experience in nature: a hidden grove of tall poplar trees, autumn light, yellow leaves, and the feeling of wanting to pause time.

Piece #1 begins with 20 layers; each following work is progressively reduced to fewer layers.

Even as the forest fades, it holds the vitality to regrow with each new season.

The work seeks to preserve a personal memory and the feeling of that moment on-chain.

Each work is a 400 × 300 px layered SVG, animated in a loop with JavaScript and CSS. It is fully on-chain, has no dependencies, and can be restarted with a click or tap.

Together, the seven works form a gradual fading process, where the forest loses layers while preserving its structure, motion, and memory on-chain.
